Boating Infrastructure Grant Program - Funding
06/05/2009 - Applications for the FY 2010 Boating Infrastructure Grant (BIG) Program - Tier I and Tier II (CFDA 15.622) are being accepted through Grants.gov by September 25, 2009.
04/10/2009 - Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar announced that more than $12.5 million in competitive grants will be awarded to 11 states ranging from California to Maine for 14 boating infrastructure projects. These grant funds from the Service’s Boating Infrastructure Grant (BIG) program will help to fund the construction of docks, boat slips and other facilities to support recreational boating.
August 2008 - The deadline for submitting proposals for the FY 2009 Boating Infrastructure Grant Program was October 31, 2008.
August 15, 2008 - The Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program (WSFR) estimates that about $13.6 million will be available for BIG in Fiscal Year 2009. WSFR will notify the Regional Directors through a memorandum to notify the States and other eligible jurisdictions that we are accepting BIG proposals.
