Description:
This course provides an overview of the organization and responsibilities of the Division of Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program. The course describes the grant process and key elements of each grant program administered by WSFR Program.
Who should take this course:
Persons responsible for managing grants administered by WSFR Program.
This course is also a prerequisite to all other WSFR Program's instructor-led training courses unless you have a working knowledge of the WSFR Grant Program.
Objectives:
- Describe the organization of the Division of Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program.
- Describe the roles and responsibilities of federal staff in the management of WSFR Program grants.
- Describe the roles and responsibilities of grantee staff in the management of WSFR Program grants.
- Explain the basic grant management steps for WSFR Program's grants.
- Describe the intent of grant programs, Act related requirements and the funding sources of grants administered by WSFR Program.
- Identify key information needed to manage new or existing grant programs.
