5/7/08 - State Wildlife Grant Program
Interior Department Awards Grants to States to Conserve Imperiled Wildlife
Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne announced today the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will award state and territorial wildlife agencies more than $60 million to help conserve and recover imperiled wildlife through the State Wildlife Grant Program. The grant program is designed to provide annual funding to all state and territorial fish and wildlife agencies with established comprehensive conservation plans, also known as wildlife action plans. 4/23/08 - Clean Vessel Act Grant Program
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Announces Grants to 27 States for Sewage Pumpout Facilities for Boaters

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service granted more than $13.6 million to 27 states under the Clean Vessel Act grant program. The grants will be used to fund the construction and installation of sewage pumpout facilities and floating restrooms, to purchase pumpout boats and for educational programs for recreational boaters.

4/9/08 - Multistate Conservation Grant Program
The announcement of availability of grants and request for Letters of Intent for the Calendar Year (CY) 2009 Multistate Conservation Grant Program is posted on Grants.gov. Please note that Letters of Intent are due to the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (AFWA) by May 2, 2008. The announcement and further information regarding the review process can also be found on AFWA’s web site. The Service estimates that approximately $4.2 million will be available for new CY 2009 grants. WSFR and AFWA cooperatively manage the grant program.

3/25/08 - National Coastal Wetlands Conservation Grant Program
The announcement of availability of grants and request for applications for the FY 2009 National Coastal Wetlands Conservation Grant Program is posted on Grants.gov. Please note that applications are due to the Regional Fish and Wildlife Service WSFR Office by June 27, 2008, 4:00 pm local time.

The announcement can also be found on the National Coastal Wetlands Conservation Grant Program web site along with the schedule for the proposal review process.

The Fish and Wildlife Service expects approximately $19 million will be available for grants from the National Coastal Wetlands Conservation Grant Program in FY 2009.
