06/30/2015 - Boating Infrastructure Grant Program
The Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program announces the publication of the annual Request for Applications (RFA) for the Fiscal Year 2016 Boating Infrastructure Grant Program (BIG), Tier 1 and Tier 2 on Grants.gov (CFDA 15.622). Applicants are encouraged to contact their WSFR Regional office staff for assistance with preparing and submitting applications. The deadline for submitting proposals is September 18, 2015.
06/01/2015 - State Wildlife Grant Program
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service provides $5.7 million through competitive State Wildlife Grants (SWG) to 11 States for conservation projects. (News Release)
05/13/2015 - Clean Vessel Act Grant Program
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced that more than $16.2 million will be awarded to 27 states under the Clean Vessel Act (CVA) grant program in 2015. (News Release).
05/07/2015 - National Survey
Two addendums to the 2011 National Survey are now available. They are titled "Economic Impact of Waterfowl Hunting in the United States" and "Trout Fishing in 2011: A Demographic Description and Economic Analysis". The reports summarize the number of waterfowl hunters and their days afield in 2011 and the demographic and economic characteristics in 2011 for trout fishing.
04/01/2015 - National Survey
An addendum titled "Fishing and Hunting Recruitment and Retention in the U.S. from 1990 to 2010" to the 2011 National Survey is available. The report analyzes the ages that people are recruited and drop out of hunting and fishing, their demographic characteristics, and trends in recruitment and retention.
02/25/2015 - State Wildlife Grant Program
Service provides more than $45 million in State Wildlife Grants (SWG) to States and Territories (2015 Apportionment).
02/18/2015 - Boating Infrastructure Grant Program
The Service announces more than $14 million in Boating Infrastructure Grants (BIG) will support recreational boating. (News Release)
